Breast Cancer Rubber Bracelets

Breast Cancer Rubber Bracelets

Rubber bracelets created to raise awareness about breast cancer have started causing a ruckus among school officials in South Dakota. The rubber bracelets have been created with the words “I Love Bobbies” on them.

This week, ballistic high school has joined several other schools nationwide that banned the popular rubber bracelets with that message, and some say it’s in poor taste.

I personally do not believe that there is any better way to bring attention to a cause than rubber bracelets.

However officials of O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls have also told their students not to wear the bracelets to school anymore

The school official says that their concern is that the issue that the rubber bracelets bring attention to is meant to address a serious problem, but the language being used in the bracelets trivializes the issue.

The bracelet itself sells for about four dollars in stores and was created by none profit breast cancer foundation out of California. The band of the bracelets has followed with objections from both students and parents. A lot of parents feel the bracelets are bringing attention about breast cancer to the kids. The foundation that created the bracelets said the whole idea is to get people talking about breast cancer and is doing just that.

Awareness Bracelet

As I set here writing and hoping that I can go from zero to making enough money to live in less than 7 days it causes one to have to cut to the chase in the marketing efforts. I’ve shut down my web design business and have stopped spending all my time marketing that business and in return the phones have stopped ringing and the office has grown quite.

I know that everyone is looking at me and wondering if my decisions have caused them to lose their jobs. But I’ve had enough of dealing with crazy clients and clients that can’t make up their minds and employs that like to pretend that they don’t understand anything I say as well as employees that you give a list of changes to and they make half the changes every time.

Yes, we are at a scary time and I’ve seen many marketing guys say if I had to start over I would do this or that but here I am in the middle of starting over and I have to wonder what is next and what is the best move to make.
